Precision screens
KOENEN is Europe’s leading supplier of technical precision screens
for a large variety of market sectors.
Technical screen printing has asserted
itself in modern technology as a high
resolution, fast and cost effective coating process for the most varied selection
of flat and round components. High-tensile screen printing frames,
new fabric types and high resolution
emulsions have allowed screen printing
to move into the hightech arena.
During the physical printing
process functional materials are transferred
onto a wide variety of components in defined strengths and forms. This
print medium can have conductive, sealing, storing, heating, adhesive,
absorbent, filtering, electroplating and/or other characteristics.
A most varied selection of print materials with defined particle size
distribution and appropriate print viscosity are utilized.
The KOENEN product range encompasses the following areas of technical screen printing
For many decades KOENEN’s core business has been the tensioning,
coating and configuration of technical
precision printing screens for the most sophisticated specifications.
KOENEN
can hold customers’ pretensioned screen printing frames
in stock in its frame storage. In this
way it can be flexible and respond swiftly
to the ever increasing demands.
Our screen print frames are cleaned
using an entirely residual free and environmentally
friendly cleaning process to protect materials. Fabric parameters are
monitored during the tensioning process on computer-controlled and
inspected tensioning machines. KOENEN guarantees its consumer that
the screens maintain a uniformly high reproducible quality standard
and a superior service life.
KOENEN assures seamless monitoring of its
production process with a laser identification system - fabric type,
angles, fabric batch number, KOENEN order number, date of production
and customer’s name are
all recorded onto the frames. Using automatic coating devices KOENEN
can apply the most varied range – depending on requirements and
area of implementation - of copy emulsions
and capillary coatings to micrometer
accuracy.
Documentation of coating parameters is a fundamental function
of this area for the reproducibility of printing screens and can be
supplied as an inspection report if required. KOENEN differentiates
between vacuum contact copying for frame sizes 1200 x 950 mm² and
contact press copying for entirely warpage
free printing screens.
The exposed screens are developed automatically.
Final optical and test measurement inspections to customer’s
specifications can also be carried out.
Overall and coating thicknesses are tested and measured, as well as
screen tension.
Screen warpage and conductor track widths can be measured
and recorded as required using a 3D-coordinate measuring system (accuracy
to 1 µm).
Innovative products and services make KOENEN a reliable
partner – for
today and into the future.
